biography below could never give you a real insight to this
remarkable man. You can read it but here's the real story
first. A maverick of the first order, Dr Boland is the ultimate
role model for life-long learning.

although aged
44, he went off and became an MD. At first no-one would accept
him. Finally Mexico said yes. So he learned Spanish in order to
study medicine in Mexico. He qualified at John Hopkins in
Maryland a few years later.

can't go on working - just retire" - at age 21 ( ! )
the doc is as active as ever, teaching, consulting and playing
the piano. He has just learned hypnosis simply in order to
design a ground breaking programme on handling stress. His work
on learning languages is a revelation.

After
a year at Harvard as visiting faculty, Dr. Boland was responsible
for the establishment of the first Engineering Management Programme
at Cranfield, the U.K.'s first management school. At the
University of Cape Town he was instrumental in the founding of the
Graduate School of Business, of which he was named Director, as
well as the development of the MBA and Executive Programmes.
Subsequently, he concentrated on consulting, teaching and research
into behavioral science as applied to accelerated learning systems
and educational technology, and was a visiting professor and
consultant in Educational Technology to INSEAD.
In
addition to his experience in the teaching consulting field, Dr.
Boland is also the author of many books, articles and reports
dealing with accounting, finance, investment and environmental
management. From 1983, Dr. Boland worked in Africa and Latin
America as a consultant to the International Labour Office in
Geneva.Dr. Boland is currently with the French Geneva Campus of
Thunderbird - The American Graduate School of International
Management and the European Institute, Geneva.
